Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions about registrations, payments, and using the platform.
Account & Access
You can reset your password at stopandgo.net/forgot-password. Enter the email address associated with your account and follow the instructions sent to your inbox.
If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or make sure you're using the correct email address.
Registrations
Yes. To transfer your registration, the recipient must create a Stop and Go account (if they don't have one yet) and register for the same event without making a payment.
Then, contact our support team with the new registration code so we can validate and confirm the transfer.
Your registration proof is available in your athlete area. Go to your registration details page and click "Download proof".
Group or informal team registrations are handled through the group functionality available on the platform.
You can find all the detailed information on how to create and manage a group at stopandgo.net/help/groups.
Minors can be registered using the household feature, which allows you to manage registrations for dependents.
You can find all the details at stopandgo.net/help/household.
Payments
Payment references (Multibanco or MBWay) are available on your registration details page in your athlete area.
References are generated automatically after registration and remain valid until the payment deadline shown.
If you have already made the payment but haven't received confirmation, please send us your proof of payment (Multibanco receipt or MBWay confirmation) via the contact form.
Once we verify your payment, your registration will be confirmed shortly.
Invoicing
It depends on the event. In most cases, the invoice is issued by Stop and Go. However, for some partner events, invoicing is the responsibility of the event organizer.
Information about who issues the invoice is shown on the event page.
To issue an invoice with a tax number, you must provide your tax number (NIF/VAT) and your full fiscal address (street, number, postal code and city).
This information is required by law for the invoice to be valid for tax purposes. You can enter or update your billing details in your athlete area.
Yes, the invoice is valid for tax purposes. In Portugal, the tax number (NIF) is the key identifier on invoices — it is used to register the expense in the e-Fatura system and associate it with the correct taxpayer.
Even with an incorrect name, the invoice is fiscally valid as long as the NIF is correct.
Event & Support
For specific questions about an event (schedule, routes, rules, race numbers, etc.), you should contact the organizer directly.
The organizer's contact email is available on the event page.
